MidTechnology AS team completed SCD/HMI part of Eirin project on Gina Krog platform for Equinor ASA
During the project, 2 subsea production wells and 1 template will be connected to the operating platform.
At the beginning of the project MidTechnology AS was assigned with a task to develop a total of 50 System Control Diagrams and typicals.
During the course of the project, this scope was extended to a total of 70 documents including 10 typicals for different applications of subsea valves, various devices of Intelligent Well Interface Standard (IWIS) and all 3 levels of Subsea Instrumentation Interface Standardisation (SIIS).
In addition to the SCD scope MidTechnology AS has developed 25 Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens for the Eirin control system supplied by Emerson Automation.
Both SCD and HMI document scopes have been designed by MIDT engineers using our own software solution – SCD Toolbox (http://scd-diagram.no), compliant with IEC 63131 and approved by Equinor for use in their system in accordance with TR0052 and TR1212.
To this date, we have fully completed our scope of work 3 months ahead of the contract schedule and are now looking forward to the next year to continue our cooperation with Equinor on the Eirin project after FAT and EFAT.
From the side of MidTechnology AS seven employees were involved in this project:
• 3 Senior automation engineers, including Vlad Naiman, CEO of MidTechnology AS
• 4 SAS engineers
In cooperation with colleagues from SPS supplier - Aker Solutions, control system vendor - Emerson Automation, and Equinor we’ve managed to establish a very productive collaboration which allowed us to finalize our scope on this project in 6 months.
